Prime Minister of Poland: Developing defenses against marches is a priority for the European Union

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that developing defenses against drones has become a priority for European Union countries that will invest heavily in this matter. This came in statements made by Tusk during a meeting of the leaders of the countries of the eastern wing of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the Finnish capital, Helsinki.
Tusk said – according to the British Sky News channel on Tuesday – “We are currently working… on this anti-marching wall, and we are talking here about spending estimated at billions.”
The talk about establishing an anti-marching wall along The eastern borders of Europe have gained momentum since about 20 drones penetrated Polish airspace last September, and other incidents occurred in Romania, Denmark, and Germany.
The European Commission explained that the project to create an anti-drones wall will include a network of sensors, jamming systems, and weapons to confront those drones. It is worth noting that the Finnish capital, Helsinki, is hosting today a meeting in which the prime ministers of Sweden, Estonia, Poland, Latvia and Bulgaria will participate, in addition to the presidents of Romania and Lithuania.
The Finnish government had announced – earlier – that the meeting would focus on the threats facing European security and defense preparedness, especially on the “eastern border.” For the European Union.
