The episode, which was broadcast live on the Abu Dhabi and Baynouna channels, was attended by His Excellency Fares Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Authority, His Excellency Ahmed Fadel Al Muhairbi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, His Excellency Mubarak Ali Al Qasili Al Mansouri, Advisor to the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and His Excellency Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi, Executive Director of the Heritage Awareness and Knowledge Sector at the Authority. The jury, consisting of Dr. Sultan Al-Amimi, Dr. Ghassan Al-Hassan, and Hamad Al-Saeed, announced that the poets Al-Anzi and Al-Kaabi qualified for the next stage, with a score of 49 out of 50 for the first, and 47 degrees for the second.

In the rest of the results, Salem Makad Al-Shammari from Saudi Arabia received 46 degrees, while Ahmed Nasser Al-Wazzan from Jordan received 45 degrees, Amer Al-Aydhi from Saudi Arabia obtained 44 degrees, and Sultan Al-Hawali from Kuwait received 43 degrees, waiting for one of them to qualify for the next stage by public vote during this week through the website and application of the “Poet of a Million” program, in order to complete the quorum for the 24 stage.

It was also announced at the beginning of the episode, which was presented by media figures Faisal Al-Jassim and Salama Al-Muhairi, that the poet Wassef Ali from Syria qualified for the next stage by audience vote in the previous episode, and he obtained a score of 93 out of 100, which is the sum of the jury’s scores and the public’s vote scores.

During the seminar’s activities, the Abu Dhabi Folklore Band, led by Mubarak Al Otaiba, presented a performance of the art of Makhloufi, which embodied a heritage presence that reflected the authenticity of folklore arts and enriched the atmosphere of the evening.

As part of the program’s interest in highlighting the stars of poetry in the Arab world, the poet Faisal Al-Adwani interviewed during the evening one of the stars of the seventh season of the program, the poet Talal Saeed Al-Nashira, who praised the keenness of the program organizers to communicate with the poets who were fortunate to participate in the program’s various seasons, and he recited two poems that received great interaction from the audience that filled the theater stands.

At the end of the evening, Dr. Sultan Al-Amimi spoke about the mechanism and criteria for the additional competition for the poets of the next stage, which will begin next week, explaining that the program has traditionally left these criteria for the beginning of the start of each specific stage, as the criteria are announced at that time, in order to provide an element of surprise to the audience and the poets, while he praised the poetic level of this episode’s competitions, pointing to the intensity of the competition and the beauty and excellence of the texts presented by the poets.

The “48th” stage of “Million Poet,” which concluded yesterday, included eight evenings, with six contestants competing in each evening, of whom one or two poets qualified for the next stage by decision of the jury, and the audience voted for their favorite poet from the rest of the competitors to complete the trio that qualified from each episode.

The twenty-four poets who qualify will compete in four evenings, with three of the six competitors qualifying for each evening, including one or two poets by decision of the jury and the rest by public vote, so that 12 poets will move to the next stage, and the poets will compete during two evenings using the same previous mechanism, so that six poets will advance to the fourth stage in which they will compete without excluding any contestant, and the poets’ grades are calculated from the committee’s 60 marks (30 of which are in the first evening, and the same in the The final evening), and 40 marks from the public vote, and the marks are calculated on the final evening to determine the positions from sixth to first.

The sixth place winner will receive a prize of 600 thousand dirhams, while the fifth place holder will receive one million dirhams, the fourth place holder will receive one million dirhams, third place will receive three million dirhams, and the second place will receive four million dirhams, while the first place winner will receive a prize of five million dirhams, in addition to being crowned with a poetry banner and the title of Millionaire’s Poet.
