Nesma Abdel Aziz presents selections of Arab and Western works at a concert at the Alexandria Opera House

The Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, will organize a concert by marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz and her band, at eight in the evening next Saturday at the Sayed Darwish Theater of “Alexandria Opera”.

 

The concert program includes presenting selections from Arab and Western compositions that have been reformulated to suit the marimba instrument, including: “Hwaid al-Layl, “Humming it,” “Macrina,” “I lie to you,” “You are my life,” “Scrooge and I,” “Marimba Flamenca,” “Staying up late at night,” “Mafia,” and “3 beats.” And others. “trombone”, Ali Hariri – Walid Jabr “trumpet”, Fadi Adel – Marwan Al-Sawaf “percussion”, Sherif Nabil “drums”, Habiba Anwar “bass guitar”, and Rais Karam&rdquo”vocals Saidi.

It is noteworthy that Nesma Abdel Aziz began her musical studies at the Cairo Conservatory at an early age and specialized in playing percussion instruments. She formed her musical group and toured most countries of the world and gave many successful concerts on the stages of the Opera House and cultural and artistic centers in Cairo, Alexandria, and some governorates. The public and critics called her “The Princess of Percussion.” For her proficiency in playing all percussion instruments.
