Abu Dhabi, December 18 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Government’s Cybersecurity Council, stressed the importance of specialized partnerships in the field of cybersecurity with international companies to support ongoing efforts in enhancing flexibility and developing cyber capabilities in the UAE, which contributes to raising national readiness and confronting future threats, consolidating the country’s long-term vision for leadership in the security, digital and cyber fields and ensuring a safe and prosperous digital future.

His Excellency also stressed the importance of the partnership with the SANS Cybersecurity Institute in building capabilities, exchanging experiences, and enhancing response capabilities to various cyber threats, by preparing national cadres and competencies, protecting the country’s digital assets, and enhancing readiness at the national level.

This came during the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the Cybersecurity Council and the SANS Cybersecurity Institute within the CyberQ 2025 event, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al-Kuwaiti, and Ned Baltaji, Executive Director of the SANS Cybersecurity Institute in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.

This partnership unites the efforts of both sides within the framework of a joint commitment to strengthen national capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, through cooperation in the vital fields of information and communications technologies and cybersecurity, where the main focus is on raising the level of national preparedness in the areas of preventing, detecting and responding to cyberattacks, in addition to deepening knowledge of emerging threats and enhancing the technical expertise of working personnel.

For his part, Nad Baltaji expressed pride in cooperating with the UAE Cyber ​​Security Council in this mission aimed at enhancing cyber resilience and supporting the country’s digital transformation agenda.

He added that this partnership represents a turning point in joint efforts to enable cybersecurity specialists to acquire advanced expertise and future skills, reiterating his commitment to supporting the UAE in consolidating its global leadership in the field of cybersecurity, through effective initiatives such as the Quantum Computing Security Program and ongoing capacity-building activities.

The partnership establishes an integrated framework for workforce development, by providing access to globally recognized certificates, applied educational experiences and technical workshops led by specialized experts.

This partnership will benefit professionals in the government and private sectors, from those working in the early career stages to senior leadership in the field of cybersecurity, contributing to strengthening national capabilities through joint training sessions, specialized tasks, and educational exchange to expand the horizons of learning about the latest digital defense methodologies and best global practices.

As this cooperation progresses, the SANS Cybersecurity Institute and the UAE Cybersecurity Council continue to align their joint initiatives, including technical workshops, cross-sector training programs, threat information exchange and incident response expertise, in support of the country’s vision towards a secure, innovative and resilient digital future.
