Abu Dhabi, March 20 / WAM / The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, with the participation of the Ministry of Interior, the National Center of Meteorology and a number of partners, held a meeting of the joint assessment team for weather and tropical conditions, to follow up and analyze developments in the upcoming weather situation during the next week.

During the meeting, the latest data and analyzes issued by the National Center of Meteorology were reviewed, which indicate that the country will be affected by weather fluctuations next week in the form of waves over most regions of the country, where rain of varying intensity is expected, which may be accompanied by hail, in addition to activity in winds that stir up dust and dirt, which may lead to decreased horizontal visibility at times, and the sea is expected to be turbulent at times and light to medium waves in general.

Within the framework of proactive preparations, the team discussed ways to raise national readiness and preparedness to deal with any potential developments in the weather situation, by carefully monitoring its path and trends, ensuring the readiness of business continuity plans, and disseminating preventive instructions and directives to the public through official channels in the country.

These efforts come within the framework of the system of coordination and joint cooperation between the concerned authorities, in order to ensure the safety of society and the protection of lives, property and infrastructure, and to enhance the state’s efforts to raise levels of preparedness and response to various weather fluctuations.
