Al Ain, December 19 / WAM / Yas Racing horses won a double yesterday evening, during the fourth race on the Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club track, of 7 rounds for purebred Arabian horses, with the participation of 102 horses, and its prizes are 490 thousand dirhams.
The colt “Shaker” from Yas Racing, supervised by Majid Al-Jahouri and driven by Hamad Al-Busaidi, won the title in the first half for a distance of 2000 metres, beating 14 purebred “beginner” Arabian horses aged 4 years and above, while “Rasikh Al-Wathba” under the supervision of Eric Legree and driven by Sylvester DeSousa won the double for Yas Racing in the second half over a distance of 1800 metres, with the participation of 13 Purebred “beginner” Arabian horses, 4 years old and above.
Khalifa Saeed Al Khaili’s “Hakka Do Soleil”, under the supervision of Hilal and Tahnoun Al Alawi, and led by Taj Oshi, won the title of the third race for a distance of 1800 meters designated for purebred Arabian horses “Takafu” with the participation of 15 horses aged 4 years and above.
“IB Tahan” by Abdul Rahim Salem Obaid, under the supervision of Ibrahim Al Hadhrami and led by Abdul Aziz Al Balushi, dominated first place in the fourth round for beginner purebred Arabian horses, for a distance of 1800 metres, with the participation of 15 3-year-old horses.
“F Asiaf” by Mohammed Musabah Al Mazrouei, under the supervision of Qais Abboud, and led by jockey Marcelino Rodriguez, outperformed his competitors in the fifth round, over a distance of 1,600 metres, for purebred Arabian horses “Takafu” (production of the Emirates), with the participation of 15 horses aged 4 years and above.
The title of the sixth heat for the 1000-meter speed distance, designated for beginner Arabian horses, went to the mare “HK Zaafarana” by Hamad Abdul Rahman Kayed, led by the jockey Abdul Aziz Al Balushi “Double,” with a large difference of lengths in front of 15 horses aged 4 years and above.
Jockey Hamad Al-Busaidi and trainer Ibrahim Al-Hadrami concluded the evening with a “double” by winning the title of the seventh round for a distance of 1000 metres, with the horse “Jamra SP” by Abdullah Al-Mashaykhi, which was allocated to the purebred Arabian horses “Takafu”, with the participation of 15 horses aged 4 years and above.
