Air Arabia adds Prague to its list of European destinations

Sharjah, December 20 / WAM / Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa region, celebrated today the launch of its new direct daily flight linking Sharjah International Airport with Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague, thus strengthening its growing global network of destinations.
The new service is operated by the modern A320neo aircraft that the carrier recently received, providing passengers with more flexible and comfortable travel options, as well as supporting tourism, business and cultural exchange between the UAE and the Czech Republic.
To celebrate this occasion, Vaclav Havel Airport Prague organized a welcoming ceremony for the inaugural flight in the presence of airport officials, local partners and representatives of Air Arabia, in a step that emphasizes the importance of direct connectivity between the two countries.
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, said: Starting to operate our daily direct flights to Prague, which is a strategic European destination, is a step that reflects the growing demand for economical and reliable air travel services from the UAE. This addition confirms our commitment to expanding the number of European destinations from the Emirate of Sharjah and supporting tourism, business and cultural exchange between the two countries.
For his part, Jerje Bos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prague Airport, said: We are pleased to strengthen our presence in the Middle East region by joining a new airline, becoming the eighth among the airlines operating flights to the airport, and resuming this service coinciding with the start of the winter flight schedule gives travelers wider travel options that are not limited to arriving in the Middle East, but extend to include important destinations such as East Africa, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur through the growing network of Air Arabia destinations.
The new daily service strengthens Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah, which includes prominent destinations including Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin and Warsaw Modlin, giving travelers a wider choice of direct flights.
