Dubai Roads opens two bridges within the Trade Center Roundabout Development Project

The Roads and Transport Authority opened two bridges within the Trade Center Roundabout Development Project, serving traffic heading from 2nd December Street, towards Sheikh Rashid Street, and Al Majlis Street leading to Al Mostaqbal Street, with a capacity of two lanes in both directions. The total length of the two bridges is 2,000 metres, and their capacity is estimated at about 6,000 vehicles per hour..
The two bridges were opened before the scheduled date in mid-January, and will contribute to enhancing the flow of traffic from 2nd December Street towards Sheikh Rashid and Majlis Streets, and reducing the travel time from 2nd December Street to Majlis Street, Al Mostaqbal Street, and Zabeel Palace Street, from 10 minutes to two minutes, in addition to reducing traffic density on the Trade Center roundabout.
For his part, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Mattar Al Tayer, said: The Trade Center Roundabout is one of the most important main intersections in the city of Dubai, and connects Sheikh Zayed Road to five vital streets: Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, Sheikh Rashid Street, 2nd December Street, Zabeel Palace Street, and Al Majlis Street. The project, which costs more than 696 million dirhams, includes the implementation of five bridges with a length of 5,000 meters, and converting the current roundabout into an intersection. Surface, which contributes to enhancing the flow of traffic coming from Sheikh Zayed Road towards 2nd December Street and traffic coming from Al Mostaqbal Street towards Sheikh Zayed Road to the south.
