Deputy Minister of Education A. confirmed D. Enas Al-Issa said that digital transformation in the education sector is one of the greatest long-impact national investments, noting that it has gone beyond being numbers or indicators to become a strategic path that reshapes the future of humanity and development in the Kingdom, during her participation in the “Absher 2025” conference.

Al-Issa explained that the remarkable progress the Kingdom is witnessing in the path of digital transformation came with direct support from the wise leadership – may God support it – and within the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, stressing that this trend contributed to Consolidating the Kingdom’s position globally, as it advanced to fourth place globally in the United Nations Digital Government Development Index, and second in the World Bank Index.

It indicated that The “Absher” conference reflects an inspiring national story in harnessing technology to serve citizens and improve the quality of life, stressing that education constitutes the beating heart of the national transformation process, as it is the foundation on which human capabilities and global competitiveness are built.

A comprehensive transformation in the system

The Deputy Minister of Education stressed that digital transformation in education is not limited to replacing traditional means with digital tools, but rather is a comprehensive transformation in the educational system in all its operations, which is reflected in the quality of educational outcomes and student results, enhances equal opportunities and supports educational decision-making.

She indicated thatThe education journey in the Kingdom has moved from traditional models to an integrated digital system, serving today more than 8 million students, male and female, in various tracks of general, university, and vocational education, starting with Unified electronic registration integrated with government platforms, passing through the “Madrasati” platform, which proved its effectiveness during the pandemic, and then continued as a national platform for managing learning in normal circumstances, supporting the teacher and student inside and outside the classroom.

Al-Issa added that the digital transformation has redefined the concepts of “distance” and “opportunity”, as geographical location is no longer an obstacle to the quality of education, but rather contributed to consolidating the principle of fair opportunities, making access to education High quality is an inherent right for every male and female student across the Kingdom.

The Deputy Minister reviewed a number of educational platforms, including “Qabul,” “Safir,” and “Study in Saudi Arabia,” which contributed to developing the student experience inside and outside the Kingdom, and established Saudi Arabia’s position as a global educational destination, in addition to the FutureX platform, which integrates with more than 2,000 local and international entities, and contributed to empowering more than two million learners.

She stressed In this context, artificial intelligence in education is used as a support tool for the teacher, enhancing his abilities and not replacing him, in a way that supports the quality of the educational process and raises its efficiency.

Al-Issa stressed that the Ministry of Education works in a spirit of partnership and integration with various sectors, extending her thanks to the success partners who contributed to making Saudi education a global model in digital transformation, and stressing the continuation of work to develop the educational system in keeping with the ambitions of the nation and the future of its generations.
