The UK is on track to record the hottest year in history

Meteorology that The United Kingdom may be on its way to registering The hottest year ever is in 2025.
The British Meteorological Office stated that the year 2025 is on track to become the hottest year in the United Kingdom, and may surpass 2022 to occupy first place, according to the British agency (PA Media).
So far, the average annual temperature is recording 10.05 degrees Celsius, ahead of the previous record of 10.03 degrees, which was recorded in 2022.
Expected cold snap
An expected cold snap over the end-of-year holiday period means that the final figure is yet to be confirmed. If confirmed, 2025 will be only the second year in observational records in which the average annual temperature in the UK has exceeded 10 degrees.
Four of the past five years will then appear among the five hottest years since records began in 1884.
