A digital currency platform mistakenly sent $40 billion to its users

Tadawul Cryptocurrencies after it mistakenly transferred more than $40 billion worth of Bitcointo its users, which led to a temporary decrease in the price of the currency on the platform.
The platform explained that it had mistakenly sent 620,000 bitcoins, currently worth more than $40 billion, and it suspended trading and withdrawal operations for 695 users within 35 minutes of the error occurring on Friday.
Accidental transfer
According to local reports, the platform was supposed to send about 2,000 won. ($1.37) per customer as part of a promotional offer, but she mistakenly transferred approximately 2,000 bitcoins per user.
She said in a statement: "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers as a result of an error that occurred during the distribution of this promotion"
The platform confirmed that it had recovered 99.7% of the Bitcoins that were sent by mistake, and that it would use its own assets to cover the entire lost amount.
