Mohammed bin Rashid announces that Dr. Nabil Saidah has won the “Geniuses of the Arabs” award in the medicine category

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” announced today that the Egyptian Dr. Nabil Saidah, Director of the Neuroendocrine Research Unit at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute, won the “Geniuses of the Arabs” award in the medicine category for the year 2025.

His Highness said through his official account on the “X” website: “Today we congratulate the winner of the Arab Geniuses Award in the Medicine category for the year 2025, Dr. Nabil Saidah, from Egypt, Director of the Neurobiological Research Unit at the Montreal Institute for Clinical Research.”

His Highness continued, saying: “He made pioneering scientific contributions to understanding heart health and regulating cholesterol levels. He focused his studies on the biological processes that control how the body deals with fats, which contributed to the development of a new generation of medicines that are widely used today to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. He published more than 820 scientific papers, and his research has been cited more than 71,000 times.”

His Highness added: “Medicine is a humanitarian message, and our region has had a great role, over the centuries, in developing its sciences, practices, tools, and research. The Arab Geniuses Award puts the compass back on the right track, to celebrate what the Arab person has to offer, and to show him as a role model for generations.”
