This year was difficult and the next will be even more difficult

In a tone that combined sarcasm and seriousness, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said: “This year has been difficult for all of us. But do not worry, the coming year will be much more difficult.”
Meloni said in her holiday greeting speech to her work team: “I advise you to rest well during the holidays, and that we meet again in the coming days to continue providing answers to this exceptional nation that is still capable of astonishing the world.”
The Italian press indicated that Meloni’s speech came in order to prepare her work team for the next stage that will witness basic elections, such as: a referendum on judicial reform and the mechanism for choosing the prime minister.
