The competition was launched with a digital camp in which more than 300 people participated, who participated in workshops focused on forming teams and formulating ideas, before the best 40 teams moved to the in-person camp, which included four workshops, and intensive training and guidance sessions, in an interactive environment aimed at transforming creative ideas into practical, executable projects.
The competition projects were divided into several main tracks that included modern technologies and data management, to employ artificial intelligence and data analysis to improve the visitor experience and raise operating efficiency, And the cities and entertainment destinations track to develop integrated destinations and empower local projects, in addition to the experience design track and , which reflects the Saudi identity and the path to improving operational efficiency in the sector.
Industry of the Future
The Director General of the Sector Support Department at the General Entertainment Authority, Ahmed Al-Sahil, confirmed that the competition "Entertainment innovations" It was not just a competition, but rather a real platform for creating the future, and an embodiment of the Authority’s belief that innovation is the most important driver for the growth of the entertainment sector in the Kingdom.
Al-Sahil said:" The initiative came with the support of the wise leadership, and under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency the Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors, Counselor Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al Al-Sheikh, to open the way for entrepreneurs and innovators to develop innovative solutions that face realistic challenges and transform ideas into applicable business models, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030."
Digital Camp
He stated that the participation of more than 300 young men and women in the digital camp reflects the extent of the passion and ambition of the people of the country, stressing that these numbers represent a real bet on national competencies as the fuel of the future, and that the diversity of the competition’s paths reflects the Authority’s vision to build a smart and sustainable entertainment sector centered around the visitor’s experience.
Al-Sahil thanked the participants, the jury, partners and the work team, stressing that "Entertainment innovations" It is not the end of the journey, but rather its beginning, and the Authority continues to support promising ideas that contribute to building an entertainment future worthy of the Kingdom’s ambitions.
Financial Prizes
The three teams that succeeded in achieving victory came after reaching the final qualifying stage, which included ten teams, where the project came in third place. "Siraj"which aims to transform imaginative performances into visual experiences using artificial intelligence and drone technologies, and won a prize worth (60) thousand riyals.
While the project came in second place "Saudi parks"which offers natural gardens in an interactive family entertainment atmosphere, and won a prize of (90) thousand riyals.
While the project was crowned first place "Listen to me"which allows event visitors to choose songs and interact with them inside the event sites, where it won an amount of (150) thousand riyals, in addition to a package of financial prizes and an in-kind support package worth more than one million dollars, which includes legal and consulting services, technical tools, and cloud computing, to ensure the transfer of winning ideas from the podium to reality.
