“Chamber Elections” holds the first preparatory meeting on January 8 to discuss the work plan

Chairman of the Elections Committee for the thirty-first session of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abbas Radhi, confirmed that the committee will hold its first preparatory meeting on January 8, to discuss the committee’s work plan and program.

Radhi added in a statement to Al-Watan that the committee will present during the meeting initial visions for the conduct of the electoral process, in addition to the formation of internal subcommittees and other data required by the elections.

The head of the Chamber, Samir Nass, issued a decision to form the election committee for the thirty-first session of the Board of Directors, headed by Abbas Radhi, and membership of: Rashid Ibrahim, Ali Ahmadi, Ghassan Fakhro, Mazen Al-Shehabi, Rashid Al-Sanan, Nasser Al-Ahly, Majid Al-Amin, and Ali Makki.

The committee will receive and consider nomination requests and supervise the electoral process in accordance with what was stipulated in Resolution No. 156 of 2013 issuing the executive regulations of Decree Law No. 48 of 2012 regarding the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its amendments.

The formation of the committee comes in implementation of the decision of the Chamber’s Board of Directors to approve authorizing the Chairman of the Chamber to issue the decision to form the Election Committee for the 31st session, in compliance with the provisions of the executive regulations of the Chamber’s law, and in a way that ensures the good organization and transparency of the electoral process.
