Dubai Residency organizes a celebration for the workforce on the occasion of New Year

Dubai, December 29 / WAM / The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, in cooperation with the Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai, is organizing, for the third year in a row, an exceptional celebration dedicated to the workforce in the Emirate of Dubai, to celebrate the New Year, in a humanitarian initiative that expresses deep appreciation for the role of this vital group, and reflects Dubai’s commitment to placing humans at the heart of the development process, in line with the goals of the Year of Society.
The event combines field attendance and virtual participation, allowing all the workforce in the Emirate of Dubai to interact with the event, whether through field celebration sites or via live broadcast and digital participation through the “Blue Connect” application approved as the digital platform for the virtual ceremony.
The application allows the workforce to subscribe for free and view all events, initiatives and services available through the platform, in addition to following live broadcasts and digital interaction, which enhances ease of access and ensures a comprehensive and integrated experience.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, stressed that organizing this celebration embodies the UAE’s humanitarian approach based on appreciation and gratitude, noting that the workforce constitutes an essential pillar in sustainable development, and a true partner in building the present and creating the future, pointing to Dubai’s keenness to create qualitative initiatives that enhance the sense of belonging and celebrate the efforts being made on the country’s soil.
For his part, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai, explained that this event reflects a solid institutional vision based on enhancing community cohesion and appreciating the humanitarian efforts of the workforce, stressing that the event was designed to be a uniting space of joy, translating the values of the general community on the ground.
The celebration will be held in a number of areas designated to host the workforce, including Jebel Ali, Al Quoz, and Muhaisnah, starting at six in the evening, and includes a diverse festive program, in addition to draws for valuable prizes with a total value exceeding 500 thousand dirhams.
Through this initiative, the Dubai Residency confirms its continued commitment to consolidating the values of tolerance and diversity, and promoting a positive environment that values people and celebrates their giving. It renews its call to the workforce in the Emirate of Dubai to participate in this exceptional occasion, whether by field presence or via virtual follow-up, and to contribute to creating a collective moment of joy that reflects the spirit of Dubai, and confirms that people will always remain at the heart of the development process.
