Urgent: Industrial production levels rise in Saudi Arabia… and inflation stabilizes at 2.2%

The Council of Economic and Development Affairs held a meeting via video conference. At the beginning of the meeting, the Council reviewed the monthly report submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, which included developments in the global economy and expectations for its performance during the coming period, in addition to a comprehensive presentation of the most prominent indicators of the national economy, highlighting the strength of the national economy and its ability to adapt to global economic changes, supported by the acceleration of gross domestic product growth, the improvement of non-oil private sector activity, and the rise in industrial production levels, in addition to the stability of the inflation rate at (2.2)%.
The Council reviewed the quarterly report submitted by the Strategic Management Office of the Council Economic and Development Affairs, regarding the performance of the programs to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the national strategies for the third quarter of this year. The report reviewed the progress made in implementing the vision and its executive programs, achieving its strategic goals, and analyzing the performance indicators of the national strategies and their achievements, pointing to the continuity of progress at the level of the three axes of the vision: (a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, and an ambitious nation), and enhancing the contribution of non-oil sectors. So that its results will be reflected in the growth of the gross domestic product in the third quarter of the current year.
The report also addressed the existing efforts and future aspirations of the third phase of the vision, which is based on enhancing the gains achieved and sustaining the impact.
Supporting and empowering government agencies
The Council discussed the presentation submitted by the National Center for Measuring the Performance of Public Agencies (Adaa) regarding the performance report of public agencies for the third quarter of 2025 AD, and the efforts made in the areas of supporting and empowering government agencies to achieve their goals, and the results of The general performance of ministries and government agencies, national and regional strategies, and the work of measuring beneficiaries’ satisfaction with government services, identifying the beneficiary’s experience, aspirations and future steps, as the presentation indicated the continuity of positive performance of government agencies in achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 indicators.
The Council discussed the presentation submitted by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development regarding the sector’s performance, its social and economic impact, the most prominent challenges and proposed solutions, and reviewed the draft national strategy for the non-profit sector, which aims to enhance the concept. Non-profits as a business model that raises efficiency and maximizes benefit, in addition to raising the sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product and increasing the number of workers in it. The presentation included a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of the sector, a study of standard comparisons, identification of strategic objectives, and current and future governance frameworks, in a way that contributes to achieving the aspirations and ambitions of the sector, and keeping pace with the qualitative and historical transformations it is witnessing, with the support and interest of the wise leadership – may God protect it -.
Consumer Protection System
The Council followed up on a number of Procedural transactions, including the public education system project, the consumer protection system project, the draft organization of the National Falcon Center and its financial sustainability plan, the second phase of implementing the university system, in addition to the annual report of the General Auditing Office, the report of the General Authority for Competition regarding the market for restaurant delivery platforms, and the challenges and solutions related to education for people with disabilities.
The Council was also informed of the results of the quarterly report on the work of the Permanent Price Control Committee, the monthly executive summary of foreign trade, and two summaries of the two monthly reports of the Consumer Price Index. wholesale prices, and the basic reports on which the summaries are based. The Council took the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding these issues.
