The Saudi economy continues its strong performance… GDP growth accelerated to 4.8%

Continue The Saudi economy recorded a strong performance during the third quarter of this year, as Gross domestic product growth reached (4.8)% on an annual basis, recording the highest growth rate during the year.
In confirmation of the strength of the national economy, the International Monetary Fund raised its growth expectations for the Saudi economy to (4)% for the years 2025 and 2026, an increase of (0.4) and (0.1) percentage points, respectively, compared to last July’s estimates, indicating the continued recovery of non-oil activities and an increase in oil production.
The non-oil private sector reflected this positive momentum, with the Purchasing Managers’ Index rising to (58.8) points in November, driven by increased demand and improved employment rates.

Saudi Vision 2030
and follow Saudi Vision 2030 adopts a flexible and dynamic approach by reviewing the performance of programs to achieve the vision and national plans, continuing to implement its goals, modifying them, or canceling them if necessary.
In its third phase, the vision focuses on raising spending to ensure accelerating the achievement and progress in implementing its major projects, in addition to seizing opportunities in priority economic sectors.
The citizen is the most important priority of Saudi Vision 2030, as the vision aims to enhance Its contribution to building the economy, in addition to enabling citizens to obtain all opportunities and facilitating services for them.
Achieving sustainable development
On the other hand, the non-profit sector in the Kingdom is witnessing rapid growth, a reflection of the great interest and support that the sector receives from the wise leadership – may God support it – as one of the main enablers of achieving sustainable development within the Saudi Vision 2030, and an effective contributor to building a vibrant society and creating a sustainable social and economic impact.
The contribution of the non-profit sector to the GDP rose to (1.3)% in 2023 with a volume of (59) billion riyals, compared to (0.3)% with a volume of (8) billion riyals in 2018.
The number of volunteers also recorded rapid growth, with their numbers exceeding the target of Saudi Vision 2030 (one million volunteers), by reaching (1.7) million volunteers in the year 2025 AD.
The non-profit sector
In this context, the number of workers in the non-profit sector increased in 2025 to (140) thousand employees, a relative increase of more than (600)% compared to the number of workers in the sector in 2017 AD, which did not exceed (19) thousand employees.
The percentage of specialized non-profit organizations that support development priorities reached more than (96)%, which reflects high alignment with national needs and enhancing sustainable development impact.
While the number of non-profit organizations today has reached more than (7000), a relative increase of (340)% compared to the number of (1700) organizations in 2017.
