“Emaar” refuses to lay off workers or reduce salaries… and we are implementing projects worth 7 billion dollars despite the challenges

The founder of Emaar Real Estate Company, Mohamed Alabbar, confirmed that the company issued clear and decisive instructions not to infringe on the rights of employees or resort to laying off workers, despite the current economic conditions and challenges currently facing the markets. Al-Abbar explained in an interview with the “Cairo 24” website that the company’s policy is based on preserving its human resources, stressing that “there is no intention to lay off workers or reduce salaries,” within the framework of institutional responsibility towards workers in light of regional crises. He explained that the company intends to implement projects during the current year worth approximately $7 billion.
The cohesion of the region and overcoming crises
Al-Abbar pointed out that the Arab region is going through a “very critical” stage that requires great economic cohesion to confront the current challenges. He expressed his optimism about the region’s ability to emerge from the current crisis in a “stronger and more stable” position, pointing out that the UAE has demonstrated high efficiency in dealing with previous crises, whether military or technical, and that history always confirms that economic growth returns strongly and quickly after the end of crises, citing the Corona pandemic as a vivid example of that.
