Egyptian Minister of Sports: "Global summit" A platform for exchanging experiences

Dubai, December 29 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that major sports forums, most notably the “World Sports Summit” in Dubai, constitute an important platform for accumulating and exchanging experiences in various fields related to sports, whether at the level of sports management or reviewing success stories and leadership experiences, in addition to their role in highlighting sports stars and leaders.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of his participation on the first day of the summit, His Excellency explained that the events provide a great opportunity for collective benefit through direct interaction between participants and attendees, which contributes to the development of the sports system in general. At the same time, he praised the honoring of the winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Sports Award, which witnessed the crowning of the Egyptian star Ahmed El Gendy, who won the gold medal in the modern pentathlon at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with the Arab Athlete category award, describing this as an important step that enhances the culture of appreciation and excellence in the region.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi pointed to the depth of the relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, stressing that these relations are well-established and rooted at both the popular and official levels, and their roots extend to a long history of cooperation and rapprochement.
He pointed out that his participation in the World Sports Summit comes a few days after the Egyptian city of Giza hosted the Zayed Charity Marathon, which witnessed the participation of about 60,000 participants, expressing his happiness at participating in this global sporting event, and hoping that the next stage will witness further development and joint successes between the two brotherly countries, and that these relations will go from better to better.
