ENOC strengthens its partnerships for energy projects in Djibouti and Ethiopia

Acting CEO of ENOC Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Horizon Djibouti Storage Company Limited, Hussein Sultan Lootah, concluded a strategic visit to Djibouti and Ethiopia, confirming ENOC Group’s commitment to developing vital energy infrastructure projects in East Africa, and enhancing international cooperation for sustainable regional development.
A statement reported yesterday that Lootah, during his visit to Djibouti, met with the President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, where he held discussions that focused on accelerating the expansion of vital storage infrastructure. He also held discussions with the Minister of Energy of Djibouti, Dr. Younes Ali Gedi, and a number of high-level government officials.
In the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, the Acting CEO of ENOC Group met with the Minister of Energy of Djibouti, the Minister of Finance of Ethiopia, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Corporation (EPSE), the Chairman of the Ethiopian Investment Holding Company, the management of the Ethiopian Petroleum Supply Corporation, and the CEO of the Ethiopian-Djiboutian Railway Company.
One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the formation of a specialized working group and the adoption of a mechanism for setting prices.
Hussein Sultan Lootah said: “Our discussions in Djibouti and Addis Ababa focused on deepening relations to improve regional logistics services and support economic growth. It also confirms ENOC Group’s support in contributing positively to the communities in which we operate, and reflects our growing role in creating the desired social impact and achieving sustainable development.”
