The initiatives of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed have a sustainable impact on the professional path of Emirati women

The Dubai Women Establishment organized a dialogue session within the “Tamkeen Plus” program for the heads of women’s committees in government and semi-governmental entities, during which it hosted the Director-General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, as part of the organization’s efforts aimed at enhancing the professional and leadership capabilities of Emirati women and developing communication skills and an influential presence in professional and community forums.
The “Tamkeen Plus” program, which extends over the course of an entire year, is one of the qualitative leadership programs launched by the Dubai Women Establishment, and includes a series of specialized events and activities, including courses in leadership and professional development, artificial intelligence, and mental health, in addition to meetings with officials and inspiring leadership figures, with the aim of transferring experiences and building an effective communication network among the participants.
During the session, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid expressed her happiness to participate in this leadership program from the Dubai Women Establishment, stressing that it is in line with the UAE’s established approach to supporting women. Her Excellency praised the efforts of the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of the Presidential Court, Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Women Establishment, and Her Highness’s support for women in all fields through initiatives and programs. It has a sustainable impact that contributes to developing women’s professional paths and enhancing their effective participation in the comprehensive development process and consolidating the global status of the UAE.
During the session, she touched on aspects of her experience in government and leadership work and the lessons learned from these experiences that she is proud of and cherishes, and the unlimited support provided by the wise leadership to Emirati women socially and professionally, and the positive impact of their high representation in decision-making positions, stressing that women have successfully benefited from the various opportunities that the state has provided for them and have proven their worth and excellence in various sectors, which has made the UAE an inspiring global model in supporting women and gender balance, pointing to the advanced ranks that it has achieved. The country achieves it annually in the relevant global competitiveness indicators.
Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid added that Emirati women have been distinguished, for more than five decades, by their spirit of responsibility, determination and creativity, stressing that the opportunities available to them today open broad horizons to continue this success and enhance their contribution in various areas of development.
She also praised the various initiatives implemented by the Dubai Women’s Establishment to enhance women’s contributions to the national economy and government work, and to enable them to represent the country in an honorable manner in global forums, noting the success achieved by the Foundation in organizing three sessions of the “Global Women’s Forum” in the years 2016, 2020, and 2024, and attracting global leaders, officials, and influential figures, stressing that these efforts contributed to consolidating the position of the Dubai Women’s Establishment as a global model for supportive institutions. For women.
Nineteen female committee chairs from governmental and semi-governmental entities participate in the “Tamkeen Plus” program, which enhances the vision of the Dubai government in building capabilities, establishing a comprehensive work environment that stimulates creativity, developing performance and productivity, and achieving advanced levels of job happiness. During the past two months, the program witnessed the organization of two workshops, the first in the field of mental health and emotional intelligence, and the second on developing leadership skills and building self-confidence, through an innovative training experience that combines practical learning and self-reflection through interaction with horses, which contributes to developing leadership skills, future planning, and dealing with challenges in various circumstances.
