Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit 2026 explores the prospects for achieving a comprehensive qualitative shift in global systems and sectors

ABU DHABI, December 30, 2026 – Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 will be held from January 11 to 15, under the slogan “An Integrated Move towards the Future,” and the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit will be held within its framework, the program of which focuses on uniting the efforts of leaders of governments, sectors, investors, and innovators in a way that contributes to enhancing joint action and accelerating the pace of sustainable progress.

The summit will be held on January 13 and 14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), as the main event within the “Week,” with the participation of more than 100 speakers and includes more than 30 specialized sessions, and addresses major topics that include ways to create a qualitative shift in global energy systems, achieving water and food security, protecting nature, and the impact of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

The sessions will include keynote speeches, discussions, and dialogues, aiming to enable leaders in the energy, business, and technology sectors to discover effective and impactful solutions and build sustainable partnerships.

Each day of the summit will also include a special session that brings together global leaders to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities available in the field of sustainable development. The heads of state and senior government officials participating in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will be announced at a later stage.

The list of speakers at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit includes Her Excellency Maryam bint Mohammed Al Muhairi, Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Office and CEO of 2 Point Zero Group; His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi; His Excellency Dr. Olli Rehn, Governor of the Bank of Finland; His Excellency Olafur Grimsson, Chairman of the Arctic Circle Organization; Adrian Grenier, UN Representative and Goodwill Ambassador; May Musk, influencer, model and writer; Talal Al Dhiyebi, CEO of Aldar Properties Group; Ignacio Galán, Executive Chairman of Iberdrola; Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of Total Energies; James Rothschild, founder and managing partner of True Arrow Partners; Martin Byworth, CEO of SSE; Dr. Pratima Rangarajan, CEO, Climate Investments; And Mohamed Jawdat, book author, and co-founder of Emma Love.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, hosted by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar”, will be the largest since the start of the week, and aims to establish a new global standard for enhancing cooperation and making a tangible impact.

In its 2025 session, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week hosted more than 50,000 participants from more than 170 countries, including 13 heads of state and prominent leaders from the government sector.

The most prominent events of the week for the 2026 session include the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), on January 11 and 12, the opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, and the 17th Zayed Sustainability Prize award ceremony, on January 13.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week dialogues, the World Future Energy Summit, the “Youth for Sustainability” Center and Forum, during the days from January 13 to 15, the “Weiser” Platform Forum, and the “Global South Utilities Forum” on January 14, the Blue Economy Forum, the annual meeting of the World Climate Finance Center, the Green Hydrogen Summit, and the Investor Communication Initiative of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, on January 15.
