The Sharjah Government announces the 2025 Human Resources Development Statistics Report

Sharjah, 30 December / WAM / The Government of Sharjah, represented by the Department of Human Resources, announced the Human Resources Development Statistics Report for the year 2025, which reflected qualitative achievements in the areas of employment, promotions, and academic and job qualification, as 3,145 male and female citizens were employed, in addition to the promotion of 1,807 Sharjah Government employees.

The report comes based on the royal directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the direct follow-up of the Executive Council of the Emirate, within the framework of a comprehensive vision that places humans at the top of development priorities.

The department confirmed that the achieved results embody the vision of the Sharjah government, which aims to invest in national cadres and empower them, and provide decent job opportunities for the people of the emirate in its various cities and regions, in a way that enhances their effective participation in the comprehensive development process and consolidates Sharjah’s leading development position.

The year 2025 witnessed the employment of 3,145 male and female job seekers in central and decentralized government agencies, in administrative, engineering, technical and educational specializations, in addition to field and military jobs, to meet the needs of various government agencies.

The statistics showed that employment opportunities include various cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, which reflects the government’s keenness to achieve geographical balance and bring job opportunities closer to citizens, in support of family and social stability.

In the context of appreciating the efforts of employees and motivating them, the year 2025 witnessed the implementation of 1,807 functional and financial promotions, at a total cost of approximately 30 million dirhams, in accordance with the provisions of Human Resources Law No. (2) of 2025 and its executive regulations, and in keeping with developments in government performance and enhancing the integration of the human resources system in the emirate’s institutions.

The department also settled the status of 392 employees who hold higher academic qualifications in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees during the year 2025, in a step that reflects the Sharjah government’s support for the culture of continuous learning and raising the scientific and professional level of its employees.

In terms of social initiatives, the total value of the supplementary grants during the year 2025 amounted to about 300 million dirhams, from which 5,199 retirees from outside the Sharjah government benefited, as an embodiment of the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to care for the people of the emirate, enhance their living stability, and provide them with the necessities of a decent life.

The department concluded its report by emphasizing that what was achieved during the year 2025 represents the beginning of a new phase of institutional government work based on empowerment, leadership, and investment in people, thanks to the wise vision and royal directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and the continuous follow-up of the Executive Council, calling on Sharjah government employees to continue giving and consolidating the system of excellence in performance and public service, in a way that enhances Sharjah’s position as a pioneering development model.
