Spain’s annual inflation rate fell to 2.9%

Madrid, December 30 / WAM / The annual inflation rate in Spain declined slightly this December by 0.1 percent compared to the previous month, stabilizing at 2.9 percent at the end of 2025.
Preliminary data issued by the Spanish National Institute of Statistics showed that the decline in the prices of fuel and petroleum derivatives was the main factor behind this decline, while the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages continued to rise, achieving a growth of 0.3 percent compared to last November.
The institute added that the annual inflation index recorded a decline this December for the second month in a row after reaching its highest level in 16 months last October, stable at 3.1 percent.
