21 people linked to Assad’s rule were arrested in Latakia after acts of violence

The Syrian authorities arrested 21 people linked to the rule of Bashar al-Assad in the Latakia Governorate in the west of the country, according to what state television reported, after imposing a curfew in the city of Latakia, following acts of violence witnessed in this Alawite-majority region.

Syrian official television reported, “The Internal Security Command in Latakia Governorate arrested 21 people from the remnants of the former regime involved in criminal acts, sectarian incitement, and targeting the Internal Security Forces.”
