Mohammed bin Zayed and the Prime Minister of Pakistan discuss cooperation relations and regional issues

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, met with Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as part of a special visit by His Highness to Pakistan. The two sides discussed cooperation relations and regional and international issues.

His Highness and the Pakistani Prime Minister exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the approaching new year, wishing the two countries continued progress and prosperity and that security and stability prevail throughout the world.

The meeting touched on relations of cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Pakistan, especially in the economic, trade, development and other aspects that serve their mutual interests and the development priorities of the two countries.

The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest and exchanged views on them.

For his part, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed during the meeting his thanks and appreciation for the interest given by His Highness the President of the State in strengthening UAE-Pakistani relations in various fields, noting the importance of the official visit that His Highness recently made to Pakistan. He also appreciated the continuous support provided by the UAE to his country, especially in the development fields.
