The UAE sky is sparkling with dazzle and it welcomes 2026 with fantastic shows

The UAE is preparing to welcome the New Year 2026 with an unprecedented festive scene. Exceptional fire and light displays will extend from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah, painting a global picture of joy and dazzle, and confirming the country’s position as the capital of major celebrations and safe and dazzling events.
The Al Wathba area in Abu Dhabi is witnessing one of the largest New Year celebrations in the country and the region, as the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has put the finishing touches on an exceptional festive program, combining the longest and largest fireworks displays, and the largest drone displays in the world, in addition to heritage and cultural events with the participation of country pavilions, sponsors and strategic partners.
The festival presents an unprecedented fireworks display that extends for more than an hour, and includes an attempt to record five new Guinness World Records, across 5 time stages starting at eight in the evening, and culminating at midnight with a main continuous display that lasts 62 minutes, using the latest launching and visual synchronization technologies to cover the Al Wathba sky with an exceptional spectacle.
Festival visitors are also anticipating a huge display of drones, with 6,500 drones participating in one 20-minute flight, forming nine giant artistic paintings displayed for the first time in the world, in visual harmony with the countdown and fireworks.
In Dubai, the emirate’s sky sparkles with more than 48 fireworks displays distributed over 40 locations, under the supervision of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency and in cooperation with the competent authorities, to allow the emirate’s residents and visitors to enjoy various celebrations in the most prominent tourist and entertainment attractions.
Locations include Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai Frame, Dubai Expo City, Global Village, Bluewaters, Al Seef, Dubai Festival City, Hatta, Atlantis The Palm, Marsa Al Arab, and other destinations.
In this context, the Dubai Shopping Festival will witness the largest aerial display of drone aircraft in the region, displayed on Bluewaters Island and “The Beach – GBR”, with brighter and faster aircraft and innovative formations supported by fire effects.
The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is preparing to dazzle the world with a display that is the largest in its history, in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, extending over a length of 6 kilometers from Al Marjan Island to Al Hamra Island.
The show, which lasts 15 minutes, combines advanced fireworks, illuminated drones, and laser technology, with the participation of more than 2,300 aircraft, leading to the launch of the largest fireworks shell ever at midnight.
For its part, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) announced a comprehensive celebratory program in cooperation with the Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, which includes ten-minute fireworks displays at Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, and Khor Fakkan Beach, in addition to six various celebratory destinations, including Al Noor Island and Mleiha National Park.
The events will be held on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2025, starting at eight in the evening, in an atmosphere that is free and open to the public, decorating the skies of the emirate with joyful displays that welcome the new year in a spirit of joy and togetherness.
The New Year’s Eve celebration scene extends to Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain through international events that combine visual dazzle, cultural diversity, and the highest safety standards.
