30 locations nationwide for workers’ New Year’s celebrations

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced the organization of festive activities for workers on the occasion of New Year’s Day in more than 30 locations nationwide under the slogan “With you and with you we enter the new year.”

The Ministry invited private sector companies and labor camps wishing to involve their workers in the festive activities, which will continue throughout the two days of December 31 and January 1, 2026, to contact the Ministry by visiting the website mohre.gov.ae, and choosing the events that suit them based on their times and places of organization.

The celebration activities are organized in cooperation between the Ministry and its partners in federal and local government agencies, including the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, the general commands of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah Police, municipalities at the state level, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, the General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai, the Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai, the Event Insurance Committee – Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, the Labor Standards Development Authority in Sharjah, the National Ambulance, the Dubai Ambulance Corporation, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ), and the Al Ihsan Society are also participating in organizing the events.

Assistant Undersecretary for the Inspection and Compliance Sector, His Excellency Mohsen Al-Nisi, said: “The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation continues its strategy to enhance communication with workers and their participation in various events and celebrations in the country, in a way that enhances their societal integration, as they are a major component of the labor market and a basic pillar in the process of development and leadership in the country.”

Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Labor Protection Sector, Dalal Al Shehhi, confirmed that celebrating workers on all occasions and holidays constitutes a sustainable methodology for the Ministry and an important worker gain that has contributed to consolidating workers’ happiness and enhancing their confidence in their role and level of achievement, in addition to enhancing stability and the attractiveness of the labor market, as part of the high-end work environment that characterizes the labor market in the Emirates.

A number of companies also participate in organizing their own events on the sidelines of the Ministry’s programme, which reflects the solidity of social responsibility and the culture of concern for workers and their social participation, most notably Sobha Construction Company, European Granada Construction, Millionaire Building Contracting, Advanced Metal Company, La Luxury Services Residences, Al-Mehwar Engineering Contracting Company, Dulsco Group, and Innova Build LL.

The festive activities also include competitions, sports and entertainment activities, the distribution of souvenirs to workers, and other events and initiatives sponsored by major companies, including “Damac” and “Aldar Properties” in the Diamond Sponsorship category, “The Insurance Complex” and “Sobha Real Estate” in the Platinum Sponsorship category, Integrated Telecommunications Company “Du”, Emirates General Petroleum Corporation “Emarat”, the Electronic Documents Centre, the National Marine Dredging Company, Al Ansari Exchange Company in the Gold Sponsorship category, and the Abdul Wahed Group. Al Rostamani won the Silver Sponsorship category, which is considered a true partner of the Ministry in supporting labor market initiatives, based on its social responsibility and commitment.
