Ajman Police raises security and traffic readiness to secure New Year celebrations

Ajman, December 31 / WAM / The Ajman Police General Command announced the completion of its comprehensive security and traffic plans to secure New Year’s celebrations in 2026, as part of its keenness to enhance public security and safety, and ensure the smooth flow of traffic during New Year’s celebrations, especially in tourist and lively areas that witness a high density of visitors.
His Excellency Brigadier General Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director General of Police Operations and Head of the Celebrations and Events Security Team in the Emirate of Ajman, confirmed that Ajman Police has harnessed all its human and technical capabilities to secure New Year’s celebrations, by intensifying the security and traffic presence in tourist sites and event areas, by deploying 130 security and traffic patrols and traffic sergeants around the clock, ensuring the safety of the public and enhancing the feeling of security and reassurance.
He pointed out that the security plan to secure events is based on rapid response and high readiness to deal with any emergency, in addition to intensifying field monitoring and coordination with strategic partners, which contributes to the success of the celebrations without any security or traffic obstacles.
His Excellency called on the public to adhere to the laws of the state and respect public order, and to avoid negative behaviors that may cause inconvenience or disturb the atmosphere of the celebration, such as excessive use of vehicle horns or unorganized gatherings, stressing the importance of community cooperation in reporting any negative manifestations or security observations through the “Share with Security” service available on the Ajman Police smart application, and emergency reports on the number 999.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, explained that the Traffic Department is fully prepared to regulate traffic, reduce traffic congestion, ensure the safety of road users, and address wrong traffic practices, such as reckless and reckless driving, or parading with vehicles and bicycles on public roads, to ensure the flow of traffic and reduce accidents and violations.
He appealed to drivers, especially young people, to adhere to traffic laws and drive responsibly, in order to preserve lives and property, wishing everyone safe celebrations and the beginning of a new year filled with stability and safety.
