Tomorrow: the launch of the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship, with wide participation and international equipment

Ajman, 1st January / WAM / The 23rd edition of the Ajman Arabian Horse Championship will begin tomorrow, Friday, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and with the support and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, and under the supervision of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, in the Al Jurf 2 area, and will continue until next Sunday.
This year, 302 horses of the purest purebred Arabian breeds will participate in the championship, representing the elite of owners and the most prominent stables at the state level, amid an expected crowd of fans and admirers of this traditional sport.
The tournament organizing committee confirmed that preparations had been completed for the launch of the event, amid a festive atmosphere and high-level organizational equipment, and the tournament site witnessed an integrated preparation of facilities and services, so that it would be fully prepared to receive participants and guests.
The committee stated that the sport of Arabian horses, with the cultural and aesthetic symbolism it carries, receives special attention from the wise leadership, noting that the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, gave the championship an exceptional character, and made it one of the most prominent sporting and cultural events in the country, stressing that His Highness has been following it closely since its first launch in 2003.
The committee appreciated the continuous follow-up and qualitative support from His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, who was and still is one of the most prominent reasons for the success and continuity of the tournament.
She explained that the tournament witnesses wide participation from distinguished horses and prominent owners, in addition to attracting new horses, which reflects its continuous development and high technical level, and this year’s edition is expected to be the strongest, given the preparations of the participants and the level of training that the horses have undergone.
The committee added that this year’s edition witnesses the implementation of the “Rabdan” electronic arbitration system, which allows entering grades directly via secured tablet devices, and calculates the results automatically while deleting the highest and lowest grade, ensuring the highest standards of transparency and accuracy.
The competitions are evaluated by 17 referees from the UAE and the Arab Gulf states, which reflects the professionalism and confidence the tournament has achieved at the regional level.
The organizing committee praised the national cadres leading the event, stressing that the success of the tournament in each session is the result of careful organizational efforts and experience accumulated over more than two decades, which made the tournament a milestone in the annual events agenda of the Emirate of Ajman.
The committee also praised the role of the sponsors who continued to support the tournament and its continuation, expressing its deep thanks to everyone who contributed to organizing the current edition, including partners, organizers and media professionals.
The committee concluded by inviting the public, including citizens, residents and visitors, to attend the tournament days and enjoy the beauty of Arabian horses and their remarkable performances, stressing that Ajman welcomes everyone in a heritage event that combines authenticity, sophisticated organization and warm hospitality. It also called for enjoying the accompanying activities, which include the heritage village, artistic performances and popular songs, in addition to souvenir prizes for visitors.
