Yas Circuit hosts Round 2 of the UAE Drift Championship
Abu Dhabi, 2 January / WAM / Yas Marina Circuit is preparing to welcome the best drift racers in the region, with the return of the UAE Drift Championship to the leading car racing destination in the country.
The second round of the championship will be held, with the participation of more than 25 of the most prominent drift racers, who will showcase their skills and abilities on the VDA track in a highly competitive atmosphere.
The weekend at Yas Marina Circuit will witness the organization of many activities accompanying the championship competitions, including an integrated entertainment program for all family members, including a driver parade and exciting confrontations, in addition to an event village that includes food trucks, live DJ music performances, and interactive experiences such as simulators, the pit zone challenge, the Otaku ME experience, and other activities that suit all ages.
The UAE Drift Championship comes as part of Yas Marina Circuit’s efforts to support the growth of motorsport in the UAE and the region, as the championship competitions continue after tomorrow’s round with the third round taking place next February 14, with the season’s activities concluding with the final round on February 21 on the track of the northern section of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 track, which has clinched many championship titles.
Ali Al-Bishr, General Manager of Yas Marina Circuit, said: “We are pleased to begin the year 2026 by hosting the second round of the UAE Drift Championship, as the championship continues to develop and attracts an elite group of the best drivers from various parts of the region, with a competitive level that continues to rise season after season.”
He added: “Hosting competitions on the VDA track before moving to the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix track for the final round of the championship reflects the diversity of our facilities and its ability to embrace various categories of motorsport. It is also consistent with our ongoing mission of providing opportunities for sports fans to test their abilities and contribute to the development of motorsport in the UAE and abroad. We look forward to welcoming the largest possible number of fans on a day full of excitement on the track and family entertainment experiences.”
