Al-Zafin is a champion for the season "Al-Shawaheef" In Khor Fakkan
Khorfakkan, 4th January / WAM / The competitions of the Emirates Shawahif Championship for wooden speedboats concluded yesterday, with the final round being held in the city of Khorfakkan, as part of the marine festival.
The competitions resulted in the champion Arif Al-Zaffin winning the title, after his success with his assistant Yousef Al-Sabouri in driving the diagnostics boat No. 33 to take the lead with 77 points. The “Senyar Marine” boat came second, led by Saleh Muhammad Ali Al Shamsi and Hassan Ali Al Shamsi, and third was the diagnostics boat No. 20, led by Khalifa bin Dhiban and Humaid bin Dhiban.
The personal boat No. 33 topped the overall standings with 77 points, and the Hayaf boat No. 19 came in second place, led by Muhammad Saeed Suhail and participated by Ahmed Khamis, scoring 72 points, and the personal boat No. 20 was third, led by Khalifa bin Dhiban and participated by Humaid bin Dhiban, with 68 points.
Al-Zaffin also achieved the lead in the break-the-kilometer race with the participation of Youssef Al-Sabouri, second came Majid Al-Khalaf with the participation of Muhammad Al-Hamri, and third was Khalifa bin Dhiban and Humaid bin Dhiban.
His Excellency Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, said that Al Zaffin’s achievement was the culmination of a great effort and a distinguished level of competition, noting that the final round embodied the great success of the tournament in consolidating the authentic Emirati maritime heritage.
