"Qatar Energy" It agreed to supply 24 gas shipments to Egypt in the summer of 2026

Doha, January 4 / WAM / Qatar Energy announced that it has reached an agreement with the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) to supply up to 24 shipments of liquefied natural gas to Egypt during the summer of 2026, in conjunction with the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to enhance cooperation and discuss additional long-term supplies.
The agreement was signed in Doha by Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Energy, and Karim Badawi, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
Qatar News Agency quoted Al-Kaabi as saying that this step builds on the successful partnerships between the two sides, and aims to meet the growing demand for energy in Egypt and support its economic and industrial growth, noting the agreement to start new discussions to secure Egypt’s future gas needs in a sustainable manner.
