The Ministry of Education, in partnership with King Saud University, launched the For the qualification diploma in physical education, which is intended to qualify female teachers who hold educational positions and wish to develop their cognitive and professional skills in the field of physical education.

This comes within the Ministry’s objectives aimed at raising the quality of education, enhancing the professional competence of educational staff, and achieving the objectives of the Quality of Life Program.

An approved study plan

The program is executed according to An approved study plan that extends over two semesters, using the distance learning system, and includes 28 study units that combine the theoretical and applied aspects, in a way that achieves the educational and professional goals of the program, and takes into account the privacy of the educational environment for female students.

The Ministry of Education has set the application dates for the program starting from Monday, January 5, 2026 AD, until Saturday, January 31, 2026 AD, provided that the final nomination results will be announced on Thursday, February 5, 2026 AD, while the study actually begins on Sunday, March 1, 2026 AD.

The first semester extends from Sunday, March 1, 2026 AD until Thursday, June 11, 2026 AD, while the second semester begins from Sunday, August 30, 2026 AD and continues until Thursday, December 24, 2026 AD, according to the approved program schedule.

Foundations and concepts of physical education

The qualifying diploma program in physical education aims to identify the foundations and concepts of physical education, develop skill and teaching competence in group and individual games, and provide teachers with the skills of designing physical education lessons, dealing immediately with injuries and first aid, in addition to learning about the principles of managing sports facilities and events.

She explained The Ministry of Educationthat admission to the program is not subject to a specific age, and that application is available to all specializations according to the educational need for each stage, noting that nomination is based on an approved comparison that includes several elements, including academic qualification, seniority, job performance, and relevant experience, with the possibility of counting previous courses or qualifications among the elements of the comparison, without this meaning an automatic entitlement to admission.

The Ministry stated that acceptance is also subject to the availability of health fitness appropriate to the nature of the program, and this is verified according to the approved controls, stressing that nomination is made according to the actual need determined by the Ministry in the education departments in the regions and governorates of the Kingdom.

She confirmed that joining the program does not result in any job vacancy, and the study is carried out in accordance with the organization of the implementing agency and without disturbing the workflow in schools. Passing the program does not result in any change in specialization, nor is it considered a direct path to promotion or change in job level, and does not result in any rewards or financial benefits.

The Ministry of Education indicated that passing the program is considered cognitive and professional development that contributes to enhancing the teacher’s competence, while decisions to assign physical education or fill supervisory positions remain subject to the actual need and the approved organizational systems and controls, and in accordance with the Ministry’s operational plans and the needs of the educational field.

She stated that the application is made through the platforms or channels determined by the implementing agency, with the required documents, registration dates, and nomination results being announced through official channels, explaining that any fees – if any – will be announced within the application announcement, without the program entailing any financial obligation on the employer.
