Decline in precious metal prices

New York, January 7 / WAM / The price of gold fell today, Wednesday, in spot transactions, 0.7% to $4,466.19 per ounce at 02:05 GMT.

US gold futures for February delivery also fell 0.4% to $4,477.30.

As for other precious metals, the price of silver in spot transactions fell by 1.2% to $80.34 per ounce, the price of platinum in spot transactions fell by 2.9% to $2373 per ounce, and the price of palladium fell by 2.5% to $1777.22 per ounce.
