A 6.4 magnitude earthquake strikes the southern Philippines

This morning, an earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale struck an area located 16 kilometers east-southeast of Bakulin City in the southern Philippines.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 35 kilometers below the surface of the Earth, according to the US Geological Survey.
There have been no official reports yet of casualties or material damage.
The Philippines is located within the Pacific Ring of Fire, making it vulnerable to frequent seismic activity.
