Ajman Chamber launches an initiative "Eco Smart Industry"
Ajman, 7 January / WAM / The Ajman Chamber launched the “Eco Smart Industry” initiative, directed to its factory members, with the aim of enhancing environmental balance, supporting the shift towards sustainable and balanced production practices, encouraging private sector establishments to adopt the best environmental practices, rationalizing energy consumption and clean energy solutions, and employing smart technologies to increase productivity, which contributes to reducing environmental impact, raising the efficiency of resource use, and supporting sustainable economic development paths.
The initiative, which directly contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of companies and factories, aims in its initial phase to involve more than 100 factories, through an interactive electronic window that enables participating parties to exchange best practices and solutions in the areas of sustainability, achieving environmental balance, preserving resources, recycling and rationalizing energy, in addition to raising the level of familiarity with the laws and legislation regulating this vital sector, in a way that enhances the efficiency of the environmental and industrial performance of the participating factories.
Through the initiative, the Chamber seeks to honor the establishments most committed to applying the best practices of sustainability and social responsibility, and achieving environmental balance and safety for workers.
The initiative comes within the projects and programs of the Ajman Chamber for the year 2026, in support of contributing to the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030 and UAE Vision 2031. It also contributes directly to enhancing the competitiveness of national industry, by achieving harmony and balance between economic and productive activity on the one hand, and balance, protection of the environment and natural resources, and the efficiency of their rationalization on the other hand.
