المملكة: A qualitative leap in the level of awareness of intellectual property in Saudi Arabia

Declared Intellectual property, regulations and laws, in addition to practices related to intellectual property, based on a sample that covered thirteen regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They represent a number of demographic segments.

Within the framework of the intellectual property system’s achievements during the year 2025 AD; The Kingdom has consolidated its international standing by achieving record numbers in the Intellectual Property Awareness Report (WIPO Pulse) recently issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization.

Global Leading

The report, which polled the opinions of 35,500 participants from 74 countries, showed that the Kingdom is leading the global scene with national awareness regarding the vital impact of intellectual property in promoting economic growth and stimulating innovation, reaching 80%.

These achievements are a culmination. Due to the tireless efforts led by the Authority through a series of intensive awareness campaigns, specialized workshops, and strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors, focusing on consolidating the concepts of intellectual property among various segments of society, starting with innovators and entrepreneurs, all the way to practitioners in various sectors such as media and industry.

The Authority confirmed that this progress is a direct result of the strategic efforts made by the Authority in cooperation with the intellectual property system, as its qualitative initiatives such as intellectual property clinics played a pivotal role. In providing guidance and specialized consultations to innovators and establishments from various sectors, which contributed to raising the level of compliance and protection.

Building National Capacities

The Intellectual Property Academy also had a prominent impact on this growth through its training programs that targeted building national capabilities and raising the efficiency of practitioners and specialists in the various fields of intellectual property, in addition to awareness campaigns and ongoing participations that covered various regions of the Kingdom.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property seeks, through its efforts, to Its qualitative initiatives place the Kingdom among the leading countries in the field of intellectual property, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to build an economy based on knowledge and innovation, as it devotes all its capabilities to building an integrated intellectual property system that supports research and development, and establishes a culture of respect for intellectual property rights in society.
