China’s foreign exchange reserves will rise to $3.3579 trillion in December 2025

BEIJING, 8 JANUARY / WAM / China’s total foreign exchange reserves reached 3.3579 trillion US dollars at the end of December 2025, an increase of 11.5 billion US dollars, equivalent to 0.34% compared to the end of last November, according to official data issued yesterday by the Chinese National Foreign Exchange Authority.

The authority said that China’s foreign exchange reserves rose over the past month, driven by exchange rate shifts and changes in asset prices.
