" Industry and advanced technology" Celebrates program partners "Manufacturers" For jobs

Abu Dhabi, 8 January / WAM / The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology organized a “Manufacturers Day” in honor of the Ministry’s strategic partners from government agencies, academics, and private sector companies that most contributed to supporting the program and providing job and training opportunities, and the impact of partnerships on supporting the goals of (the 300 billion project), the “Make in the Emirates” initiative, and the National Content Program.
The event, which was organized at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, witnessed the honoring of 53 government and academic entities and companies in the private sector, including strategic partners, employment partners and supporters, with the “Manufacturers Program Appreciation 2025” award for their role in providing quality job opportunities and qualifying national cadres with quality training programs, in a way that supports the goals of Emiratisation and sustainable industrial development, especially since the “Manufacturers Program” is the first national program to empower and qualify Emirati youth to work in the industrial sector.
Since its launch in 2023, in partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirates Competitiveness Council (NAFES) and ADNOC Group, the “Manufacturers” program has contributed to providing more than 4,200 job opportunities for Emirati cadres in industrial, technological and service companies, in cooperation with more than 180 companies in various emirates of the country. It has also succeeded in providing more than 300 job opportunities appropriate to the capabilities of people of determination, which contributes to integrating… National competencies in industrial value chains, and enhances the contribution of the industrial sector to the national economy.
During his speech, His Excellency Hassan Jassim Al Nowais, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, pointed out that the Manufacturers Program, under the umbrella of the “Make in the Emirates” initiative, represents a practical framework for empowering national cadres and building their capabilities for specific jobs in the industrial and technological sectors, in a way that supports the growth of companies and raises their competitiveness.
He stressed that the program reflects a strategic direction to establish qualitative Saudization as a model that supports productivity and economic value, and enhances partnership between government agencies and the private sector, within the framework of supporting and directing the wise leadership towards the Saudization process in the industrial and technological sectors.
He pointed out that declaring the year 2026 as the “Year of the Family” gave the Manufacturers Program an additional dimension, as every quality job represents an opportunity for stability for individuals, added value for companies, and sustainable support for the national economy, stressing the importance of continuing partnerships in empowering Emirati talent.
Integration between government agencies and the private sector
For his part, His Excellency Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council, stressed that the “Manufacturers” program reflects institutional integration between government agencies and the private sector in supporting the goals of qualitative Emiratisation in the industrial and technological sector, noting that empowering Emirati competencies with advanced skills and sustainable job opportunities contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of national human capital and raising its readiness for the requirements of the future.
He explained that the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, government and academic agencies, and private sector companies has contributed to accelerating the integration of Emirati competencies into industrial value chains, and raising their readiness to fill quality jobs in competitive and advanced work environments. He pointed out that the support and incentive programs provided by the Emirati Competitiveness Council through the “Nafis” platform contribute to motivating industrial and technological companies to attract citizens, enable them to acquire future skills, and build sustainable practical experiences that enhance their productivity and job stability.
For his part, Omar Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Head of Commercial Affairs and In-Country Value at ADNOC Group, said: “The two manufacturers” program reflects the practical impact of linking industrial demand to the labor market, and transforming projects and local spending into real and sustainable job opportunities for citizens.
He added: ADNOC’s program to enhance local added value constitutes the framework through which we direct our commercial spending to support companies capable of expanding locally, enhancing their operational capabilities, and creating quality jobs within the country to empower Emirati talent in the private sector.
He continued: Today’s honoring of partners confirms that the role of the private sector is pivotal in translating this demand into sustainable job opportunities and professional skills, and enhancing the readiness of national supply chains, in a way that supports the growth of the industrial sector and achieves long-term value for the national economy.
During the event, a number of Emirati cadres reviewed their success stories in the industrial, technological, and service sectors under the umbrella of the “Manufacturers Programme.” Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaheri, a software developer at the “Emirates Alliance” company, said: I obtained a job opportunity in the company through the Manufacturers Programme, and my professional start was characterized by speed and building on real qualification for the market. The program gave me an integrated experience through which I learned about the work environment, developed my practical and personal skills, and built my self-confidence. My message to the youth: No. Wait for the perfect opportunity, because many great successes begin with the right and available step.”
Issa Al Balushi, representative of Emirati cadres in the ABB Group, said: “My experience represents evidence of the great impact of the Musaneen programme. In just 10 months, I moved from the position of a technical support specialist to a business development manager. I participated in a global talent program and worked with international teams in factories in Italy and Germany. This professional growth is due to the trust that ABB has placed in us and the support provided by the program, which has proven that the ambition of national cadres is capable of being realized in light of development and real investment in Emirati cadres.
For her part, Maitha Mohammed – an administrative employee (health and safety) at Al Ain National Juices and Beverages Company (IFFCO Group), confirmed that last year she participated in the Al Ain Region Edition Manufacturers Exhibition. This participation was a turning point in her journey with the industrial sector. “Through it, I learned about the work environment and helped me communicate with a number of companies, through which I moved from working in the city of Abu Dhabi to working in one of Al Ain’s factories in search of practical experience closer to my community. Today, I hold an administrative position in health and safety, and I am always keen on self-development to contribute to providing a safe industrial environment. My message to everyone looking for change is: If change is not an easy step, in return it represents an adventure that contributes to building success stories.”
On the other hand, Ahmed Khaled Bamgbour – Localization Manager at Weatherford Company, said that in 2023, I entered the Abu Dhabi Energy Center in one of the manufacturers’ exhibitions, looking for a job opportunity without expectations, and today I stand with you in the same place as Localization Manager at the leading Weatherford Company. This exhibition represented a real turning point in my professional life, as it opened the doors to the private sector for me and greatly accelerated my career path. My story is not an exception, but rather tangible evidence that empowering national talent begins with a simple opportunity and makes a sustainable difference when it has support and trust.”
The list of entities and companies that were honored included strategic partners, sponsors of the “Manufacturers” program, and employment partners from major industrial, technological and service companies operating in the country who are members of the National Content Program, in recognition of their contribution to attracting, employing and qualifying Emirati talent, and supporting the flexibility and sustainability of industrial supply chains.
The honor included three main categories. The first category, “Strategic Partners,” included the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirates Competitiveness Council, the ADNOC Group, the Ministry of Family, the Department of Government Empowerment in Abu Dhabi – Mawaheb, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, the E& Company, the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, the United Arab Emirates University, the Higher Colleges of Technology, and the Center of Excellence for Applied Research and Training – CIERT.
The second category of honored entities included “sponsors and employment partners”, in recognition of their valuable support in sponsoring the programme, providing job opportunities, and directly contributing to the recruitment of Emirati talent, and included Fourface Mazar Group, the National Food Products Company, Al Sharid Review and Management Consulting Company, Calidus Abu Dhabi, SLP, Exceed Industrial LLC, Elsewedy Electric, Weatherford International, the 5th Element, and EVAS International.
