"Sharjah Literature Festival".. Exceptional experiences that reflect the richness of the Emirati cultural scene

Sharjah, January 8 / WAM / The activities of the second session of the Sharjah Literature Festival, which continues until January 11, attracts members of society from all walks of life from across the Emirates, united by a passion for knowledge and shared cultural memory in a scene that embodies the festival’s slogan for this year, “A Society Woven by Stories,” which celebrates the power of literature to inspire and unify visions.
Amidst an atmosphere vibrant with thought, originality and fun, the University City Square in Sharjah has turned into an inspiring platform that brings together Emirati writers, thinkers, creators and publishers in one space for dialogue, creativity and innovation through the rich program of the festival, which was launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the support and directives of Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Honorary President of the Emirates Publishers Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Book Authority.
Jointly organized by the Emirates Publishers Association and the Sharjah Book Authority, the festival presented, throughout its first three days, rich cultural, artistic and entertainment experiences, including the book fair, which continues throughout the days of the event, presenting masterpieces of Emirati literature to lovers of the word, in addition to interesting dialogue sessions that dealt with cultural, artistic and societal topics that contributed to enriching public awareness and enhancing cognitive interaction.
The program also included poetry evenings, theatrical and musical performances performed by creative Emirati artists, musicians and musicians, in addition to various workshops for children and adults in drawing, visual arts, photography and Arabic calligraphy, and daily interactive reading sessions that inspire children and stimulate their imagination and love for books, in addition to a unique shopping experience for innovative handmade products inspired by Emirati heritage.
