The Head of State receives the Minister of External Affairs of India

Abu Dhabi, 12 April / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received today His Excellency Dr. Subramaniam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India.
His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India conveyed to His Highness the greetings of His Excellency Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, and his wishes for continued security and prosperity for the UAE, while His Highness conveyed to him his greetings to His Excellency the Prime Minister and his wishes for India and its people further growth and progress.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various aspects of cooperation within the framework of the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” and the “Comprehensive Economic Partnership” between the UAE and India and their development paths to serve the development priorities and mutual interests of the two countries.
The two sides also discussed the developments taking place in the Middle East region and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, in addition to their effects on the security of international navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy.
The meeting touched on the Iranian terrorist aggression that targeted civilians and civilian installations and infrastructure in the UAE and countries of the region, which represents a violation of the sovereignty of these countries and international laws and norms.
During the meeting, His Excellency renewed India’s solidarity with the UAE towards all the measures it takes to defend itself, preserve its sovereignty and security, and ensure the safety of its lands and citizens.
The meeting was attended by: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President, and a number of ministers and officials.
