Fujairah Research Center develops camel research using advanced biotechnology

Fujairah, January 9 / WAM / The Fujairah Research Center has developed advanced applied research programs in the field of camel research, aiming to improve reproductive efficiency and preserve purebred Arabian breeds, in a way that supports animal sustainability and preserves the cultural heritage of the UAE.
The center works on applying modern biological technologies, including artificial insemination, preserving and freezing semen, embryo transfer, and in vitro fertilization, with the aim of developing genetic characteristics and raising production efficiency.
These efforts are in line with the directives of the country’s wise leadership to preserve the authentic Bedouin heritage and enhance the status of camels as a cultural and economic heritage element, in light of the climate challenges and scarcity of water resources.
The center affirms its commitment to employing scientific research and modern biotechnology to support sustainability, and to strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading center in camel research in the region.
