Increased competition for special numbers for Emirates Skywards membership

The exclusive online auction, announced by the Emirates Airline Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with Emirates Auctions, which provides the opportunity to acquire distinguished membership numbers in the Emirates Skywards program, with platinum status benefits valid for 20 years, continues to record strong participation from participating donors, at a time when Emirates Airlines said that the proceeds of this auction will be directed to support the humanitarian programs implemented by the Foundation for the benefit of the most needy children around the world.
The auction combines the uniqueness of owning rare membership numbers within the “Skywards” program, and contributing to supporting a noble humanitarian cause, as the proceeds contribute directly to providing better educational opportunities for children benefiting from the Emirates Airlines Foundation’s charitable programs, while the membership number “EK 700 0000 000” recorded the highest value, until midnight on the ninth of this January, recording 650 thousand dirhams, knowing that the auction will close on the 17th of this January.
In detail, Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Operations at Emirates Airlines, said that the Emirates Airline Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with Emirates Auction Company, launched an exclusive electronic auction that gives participants from all over the world the opportunity to acquire distinguished membership numbers in the Emirates Skywards program with the benefits of the Platinum category for 20 years, pointing out that the auction ends on January 17 of this year.
Kazim added to Emirates Today that this initiative is the first of its kind, explaining that all proceeds from the auction will be directed to support the humanitarian programs implemented by the Foundation for the benefit of the most needy children around the world, noting that the proceeds of the auction will be used to support 14 non-governmental organizations in nine countries, working in basic areas including education, health care, housing, nutrition, and vocational training, which contributes to improving the quality of children’s lives and enabling them for a better future.
He stressed that the auction is open to all members of the Emirates Skywards program, which has reached 37 million members in 190 countries.
Kazim stressed that this initiative reflects Emirates Airlines’ commitment to social responsibility and innovation in supporting humanitarian work, pointing out that the auction provides donors with the opportunity to combine contributing to creating a sustainable humanitarian impact, and obtaining exclusive benefits within the “Skywards” program.
He said: “The auction will be held entirely digitally through the (Emirates Auction) platform, noting that registration is free and easy, and can be completed within minutes via the website or mobile application, with the ability to log in via the Emirates digital ID for residents of the country.”
He explained that the winners will be notified within 24 hours of the end of the auction on January 17, 2026, expressing his hope that everyone will participate in the auction, as every contribution makes a real difference.
Kazim continued: “The validity period of the platinum membership will be determined according to the value of the winning bid,” noting that the auction includes six bidding categories, the first starting at 70 thousand dirhams, according to which the winner will obtain a platinum membership for one year. As the bidding value increases, the duration of membership increases, while the second category starts at 250,000 dirhams and provides membership for three years, the third category starts at 325,000 dirhams and provides membership for five years, and the fourth category starts at 650,000 dirhams and provides membership for 10 years.
