A businessman’s compliment to his friend’s son ends in a terrible accident

Egyptian security forces arrested a businessman after shooting inside a gym in Sheikh Zayed City, which resulted in the gym manager sustaining several wounds.

Investigations revealed that the incident began with a verbal altercation between the gymnasium manager and a number of young men, due to the gymnasium running out of training invitations. The crisis developed when one of the young men sought the help of the accused, who came to compliment his friend’s son, and fired five shots from a firearm he was in possession of.

The bullets injured the hall manager in the foot and caused him to fall to the ground, before he was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment, according to Egyptian media.

The Egyptian prosecution ordered the businessman to be detained for 4 days pending investigations, with the weapon used in the incident being seized, while investigations continue to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
