Abu Dhabi, January 10, 2026: The activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 will begin tomorrow under the slogan “An Integrated Start to the Future.” It focuses on stimulating efforts in the energy, finance, technology and societal sectors to keep pace with the requirements of the future and working to transform ambitions into practical and applicable solutions in various sectors.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 draws a road map to enhance the process of global progress and link global goals with leaders of positive change, by focusing on advancing the clean energy sector in the next stage, expanding the scope of financing, formulating innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence, and ensuring comprehensive transformations. It also focuses on enhancing dialogue, expanding the scope of global influence, achieving harmonization between sectors, and enhancing cooperation among them, which contributes to accelerating the process of progress and broadening its horizons.

The “Week,” launched by the UAE and hosted by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar,” represents a leading global platform that aims to advance sustainable progress. It brings together leaders from governments, business, finance, and society to work to transform ambitions into effective solutions by strengthening the interconnection between systems and the energy, water, food, technology, and investment sectors.

Over the course of more than 18 years of global influence, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week continues its role in combining policy formulation, supporting innovation, and providing financing with the aim of translating ideas into feasible actions and developing solutions that contribute to achieving a balance between preserving the environment, enhancing economic flexibility, and supporting social development.

The global event focuses on consolidating cooperation in the field of sustainability. Every January, it hosts an elite group of world leaders and experts in Abu Dhabi, and continues to work through initiatives that extend throughout the year, contributing to enhancing communication between concerned parties, supporting the expansion of the scope of application of solutions, and achieving tangible progress towards building a prosperous future that includes everyone.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is held annually in Abu Dhabi, which is one of the fastest growing and developing cities in the world. It has witnessed unprecedented qualitative progress in development over the past few decades, and has established its position as a global destination for business and innovation, a cultural and financial center, and a world-class tourist destination.

Over the past years, the UAE has been keen to develop and implement ambitious plans aimed at promoting sustainable development and protecting the environment, including the “UAE Vision 2021”, which formed a road map to support the national development process by achieving targets related to air quality, water security, waste management, and clean energy, in addition to the “Green Growth Strategy”, which aims to make the country a global leader in the field of the green economy. It was the first country in the Gulf Cooperation Council to ratify the Paris Climate Agreement.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week witnesses the launch of new platforms aimed at enhancing integration and joint work at the sector level, including the “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Dialogues”, which includes a series of high-level dialogues focusing on presenting new ideas and stimulating efforts in the sectors of energy, finance, technology, food, water and climate action.

The week also witnesses the “Blue Economy Forum”, which is a global platform held in partnership with the Chinese International Businessmen Federation and focuses on issues of water security, sustainable finance and innovation in the blue economy, in addition to the “Global South Utilities Forum”, which brings together an elite group of policy makers, developers, financiers and buyers from the UAE and countries of the Global South to discuss ways to enhance investment and develop large-scale infrastructure projects in the fields of energy and water.

These events aim to achieve a tangible and sustainable impact, which contributes to consolidating the position of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as a platform for communication and dialogue, enhancing joint efforts, and achieving measurable results.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 includes communication and interaction tools enhanced by artificial intelligence to monitor the most prominent ideas and pledges presented directly and enhance the link between forums, dialogues and various events. It also includes the week’s Smart Technology Center, where pioneering clean technologies are displayed for the first time, reflecting the week’s role as a platform to showcase the next generation of clean energy, water and digital solutions.

The innovations include a showcase of energy networks powered by artificial intelligence, climate finance tools, and technologies that support food and water security, highlighting the opportunities available to enhance the resilience and sustainability of global sectors.

More than 70 state leaders and prime ministers participated in the activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week annually, and the event attracted more than 50,000 participants, with the participation of representatives from 175 countries and more than 3,500 who attended the opening ceremony and the Zayed Sustainability Prize distribution ceremony. More than 3,000 students participated in the week’s activities and more than 10 major events, which reflects its position as an effective global platform in the field of sustainability.
