The qualifying rounds witnessed wide participation at the local and Gulf levels, with a remarkable presence from the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to a large public turnout from camel sports fans, in a scene that reflects the depth of connection with these traditional sports and their place in the conscience of the people of the region.

Rashid Hareb Al-Khasouni, Director of the Fazza Championships Department, explained that the qualifying rounds are designated for the family and siblings from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and will continue until January 16, with the conclusion being held on January 17 in anticipated competitions that witness the highest levels of competition.

Al-Khasouni pointed out that the organizing committee has completed all organizational and logistical preparations to ensure the success of the tournament, stressing that the safety of the participants is a top priority, as the competitions are accompanied by an integrated medical team, while adhering to safety procedures and requiring participants to wear chest protection and a head helmet.

The judging mechanism relies on a set of criteria derived from the historical traditions of the Ardha and Zamt, including the equipment of the mounts, the coordination of the team, the start of the riders, and the arrangement of the mounts on the points calculation line.
