The Abu Dhabi Chamber stresses the importance of the “sustainability brand” in supporting the competitiveness of the private sector

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is participating in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026, which began yesterday and will continue until January 15, in confirmation of its commitment to supporting the transition towards sustainable business practices and enhancing the readiness and competitiveness of private sector companies, in line with the national trends of the UAE in the areas of sustainability and economic development.
As part of its participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the Abu Dhabi Chamber participates in the World Future Energy Summit Exhibition, which is one of the main components of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, through a special pavilion for the Chamber. The pavilion contributes to introducing the role of the Chamber and its initiatives and programs in support of sustainability, and reviewing its efforts in empowering private sector companies and directing them towards adopting sustainable business practices. The pavilion also forms an umbrella for three leading companies in the field of sustainability from the Chamber’s member companies, as this platform allows companies to participate. Presenting its innovative solutions and technologies, and highlighting its successful experiences in the fields of clean energy and sustainability, thus enhancing its opportunities to build partnerships and expand its presence in local and international markets.
The Second Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Directors and Managing Director, Shams Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, said: “The Chamber believes that sustainability has become an essential pillar for building a competitive economy capable of keeping pace with future changes, and through our participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and the launch of the (Sustainability Mark) programme, we affirm our commitment to supporting private sector companies, enhancing their readiness, and harmonizing the business system in the emirate, in a way that contributes to supporting sustainable economic growth.”
Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ali Mohammed Al Marzouqi, said: “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week represents a strategic platform to strengthen partnerships and accelerate the adoption of more sustainable and flexible business practices.
