Nadia Mustafa confirmed, through a post on her account on the social networking site Facebook, that the health condition Hani Shaker last week underwent surgery on one of the spinal vertebrae, after a great effort he made over the past three months in artistic tours that included concerts in the United States, the Gulf states, Jordan, and Lebanon, in addition to his concerts inside Egypt.
The source explained that what is being circulated about a setback or deterioration in his health condition is not true, stressing that the surgery is not dangerous, and that the doctors recommended that he rest for a period of no less than two weeks.

Accordingly, The organizing companies announced the postponement of Hani Shaker’s concert, which was scheduled to be held on January 23 at the Teatro Arkan, with the concert being held on a new date on Thursday, April 2, with the validity of all sold tickets remaining without any change.

He received treatment at his home

Mrs. Nahla Tawfiq, Hani Shaker’s wife, confirmed that his health condition is stable, and he is receiving treatment and medical follow-up at his home, stressing that all he needs at the present time is only rest, denying what happened. He discussed the seriousness of his condition.
Hani Shaker is considered one of the most prominent symbols of Arab singing, as his artistic career began in 1972, during which he presented more than 600 songs and 29 albums, in addition to assuming the position of captain of the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate since 2015, and receiving many local and international medals and honors.
